Who can enter a Ventus Prize Draw?
You must be aged 18 or over, a legal resident of Great Britain, and not fall within a prohibited persons category for details, please check the General Terms and Conditions
Can residents of Northern Ireland enter?
No. Ventus prize draws are open to eligible residents of Great Britain only. Residents outside Great Britain are excluded.
What proof might I need to provide?
Ventus may ask for proof of age and/or identity or residence. Failure to provide requested evidence may result in disqualification.
Who is not allowed to enter?

What happens if a prize cannot be adapted for accessibility needs?

Is an online account optional?
An online account is optional for free postal entry but required for paid online entry.
Why might Ventus create an account for a postal entrant?
If you enter by post without creating an online account, Ventus will create an account using the details provided for the purpose of administering the entry and any prize.
What details are needed to open an online account?
The T&Cs indicate that participants may be asked to provide details such as first name, last name, email address, mobile number and county when creating an account. The final website process should confirm the required fields.
Why do I need to keep my account details up to date?
Accurate account information helps Ventus administer entries, contact participants and verify potential winners. Failure to keep details accurate may affect entry validity or prize fulfilment.
Can multiple people share one email address?
No. Multiple participants may not share a single email address for entry purposes.
Can I enter using multiple email addresses or identities?
No. Entries must be made by the individual entrant. Using multiple email addresses or identities may result in disqualification and related entries being declared void.

Charity

How does the draw donation work?
Ventus donates an amount to charity in connection with each prize draw. The donation is calculated as 20% of net profits, subject to guaranteed minimum donation thresholds where applicable.
What happens if the percentage donation is higher than the guaranteed minimum?
Where 20% of net profits is higher than the applicable guaranteed minimum donation, the higher amount will be donated.
What happens if gross draw sales do not reach the minimum threshold?
If gross draw sales do not reach £250,000, the donation amount is calculated solely as 20% of net profits, subject to guaranteed minimum donation thresholds where applicable.
How are charities chosen?
Donations may be allocated to one or more charities selected by Ventus and/or charities supported or nominated by Ventus ambassadors.
Where can I see which charities are supported?
Details of the relevant charity or charities will be made available on the website or upon request.
Will Ventus publish donation information?
Ventus will maintain appropriate records of donations and make summary information available to participants on the website.
When are donations made?

Entering

How can I enter a Ventus prize draw?
You can enter for free by post or purchase entries online. Both entry routes are available for each prize draw unless the relevant Prize Draw Terms and Conditions state otherwise.
Do I have to make a purchase to enter?
No. A free postal entry route is available for every Ventus prize draw.
Does choosing the free postal entry route reduce my chances of winning?
No. Valid postal entries are treated in the same way as valid paid entries for the purpose of selecting a winner.
When do entries need to be received?
Each prize draw has its own Entry Period. Entries must be accurate, complete and submitted within that period to be valid.
What happens if my entry is received after the closing date?
Entries submitted after the closing date will be declared void and will not be included in the draw.
What makes an entry valid?
An entry must be accurate, complete, legible where applicable, submitted in the required format, received during the relevant Entry Period and comply with all restrictions detailed in the Prize Draw Terms.
Can an entry be rejected?
Yes. Entries may be rejected if they are incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, corrupted, incorrectly submitted, received late, the entrant does not comply with entry restrictions or if Ventus cannot reasonably identify the participant or prize draw.
How does the free postal entry route work?
To enter for free, send a postcard or letter from within Great Britain to the postal address stated in the applicable Prize Draw Terms and Conditions. The entry must be received by the stated postal closing time and include the required participant and prize draw details.
Do I need an online account to enter by post?
No. An online account is not required for free postal entry. If you enter without an account, Ventus will create an account for you for administrative purposes using the details provided.
What information must I include in a postal entry?
Your postal entry must include your full legal name, valid residential postal address, valid email address, and the name or a clear description of the relevant prize draw.
Can I include my telephone number on a postal entry?
Yes. You may include a telephone number to help with administration, but this is not mandatory.
Can I include my online account reference on a postal entry?
Yes. You may include the last three digits of your online account reference if you have one, but this is not mandatory.
Can I use a PO Box address for my postal entry?
No. Postal entries must include a valid residential postal address. PO Box addresses are not accepted.
Can I send more than one postal entry?
Yes. You may submit postal entries as often as you wish, subject to any applicable entry limits. Each valid postal submission counts as one entry.
How many entries are allowed per postcard or envelope?
Only one entry is permitted per postcard or outer envelope.
Does Ventus confirm receipt of postal entries?
Confirmation of receipt may not be provided. Ventus may use the contact details supplied to communicate with participants about their entry.
What happens to postal entries after they are received?
All postal entries become the property of Ventus and will not be returned.
What if my postal entry is lost, delayed or misdirected?
Ventus is not responsible for postal entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, incorrectly submitted, postage due or not received. Such entries may be invalid.
Is free postal entry subject to any disadvantage compared to paid entry?
No. The free postal entry route is not subject to any additional cost or material disadvantage compared to paid online entry.
How do I enter online?
To enter online, create or log in to an online account, select the number of entries you wish to purchase, follow the on-screen instructions, and complete payment.
Do I need an account to enter online?
Yes. An online account is required to use the paid online entry method.
When are paid online entries allocated?
Once payment has been successfully processed, the corresponding number of entries will be allocated to your account and entered into the relevant prize draw.
Can I buy more than one entry online?
Yes. Participants may enter more than once, subject to any entry limits, spending controls or restrictions applied by Ventus. Check the applicable Prize Draw Terms and Conditions.
What currency are entry fees paid in?
Entry fees must be paid in pounds sterling.
When do paid entries need to be received?
Paid online entries must be received by the closing time stated in the applicable Prize Draw Terms and Conditions.
Can paid entries be cancelled if a payment is refunded?
Yes. If an entry fee is refunded, any entries linked to that refunded payment will be cancelled and will not be eligible for the draw.

Payments

How are online payments processed?
Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure payment system.
Does Ventus store my card details?
No. Ventus does not see, store or have access to your full payment card details.
What security measures are used for payments?
Stripe is responsible for payment security, including encryption, authentication such as 3D Secure, fraud detection and compliance with payment security standards.
Are entry fees refundable?
Except where required by law, entry fees are final and non-refundable once the relevant prize draw has ended. What about before the end of the prize draw period? TBC
What happens if a payment is reversed, charged back or disputed?
Ventus may suspend or terminate the relevant account and cancel associated entries where a payment is reversed, charged back or disputed.

Privacy & Marketing

How does Ventus use my personal data?
Ventus stores and processes participant personal data for the purposes of conducting prize draws and prize fulfilment. Personal data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice.
Do I have to opt in to marketing to enter?
No. You do not need to opt in to marketing to enter or to have a chance of winning.
Does marketing opt-in increase my chance of winning?
No. Marketing preferences do not affect the chance of winning. All valid entries have an equal chance.
Can Ventus contact me about my entry?
Yes. By entering, participants agree that Ventus may contact them by email, telephone or post in connection with the prize draw and in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Prizes

Where can I find the details of each prize?
The exact prize details, including travel arrangements, the number of permitted guests, timing and any special conditions, are set out on the prize draw page and in the relevant Prize Draw Terms and Conditions.
Can prizes differ from the images shown?
Yes. Prize images are illustrative and may differ from the actual prize awarded.
Can Ventus make changes to the prize?
Ventus may make reasonable adjustments where necessary to facilitate fulfilment. Any adjustment will not materially alter the nature or value of the prize.
Can Ventus substitute a prize?
Ventus may substitute the prize, in whole or in part, with an alternative prize of similar type, nature and overall quality where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Can I exchange a prize for cash?
No. Unless expressly stated otherwise, prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-saleable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Can a prize include guests?
Yes. Some prizes may include guests. The number of guests and any guest requirements will be set out in the relevant Prize Draw Terms and Conditions.
What responsibilities does the winner have for guests?
The winner is responsible for ensuring their guests comply with the terms and any applicable third-party requirements. Guests may need to complete documentation or provide information as a condition of participation.
Do guests need to meet eligibility requirements?
Yes. Guests must meet any requirements specified for the prize, such as age, health, travel documentation or other criteria.

Publicity

Will winner details be published?
Ventus may publish or disclose information confirming that a valid prize award has taken place, such as the winner’s surname and county of residence.
Can a winner object to their details being published?
Yes. Winners who do not want such details made public may object by providing written notice to Ventus, although Ventus may still be legally required to share details with relevant authorities.
How can I request a winner list?
You can request the surname and county of the winner within three months of the announcement date by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to the address set out in the General Terms and Conditions.
Do winners need to take part in publicity?
Ventus may require winners to take part in reasonable publicity or promotional activities unless prohibited by law. Any participation should be proportionate and take account of the prize and the winner’s circumstances.

Does Ventus apply spending or entry limits?
Ventus may introduce or vary limits on the number of entries or the total amount a participant may spend during a defined period.
Why does Ventus use spending limits and account controls?
Ventus uses controls to support responsible participation, prevent misuse and help ensure participants only enter at a level appropriate to their circumstances.
Can I request account restrictions or account closure?

Rules & Conduct

Are automated entries allowed?
No. Automated, robotic or programmed methods of entry, including bots, scripts or macros, are not permitted.
Are bulk or third-party entries allowed?
No. Bulk entries from trade, consumer groups, agents or third parties, or entries using multiple identities or accounts to bypass conditions, are not allowed.
What happens if someone tampers with the website or entry process?
Ventus may disqualify anyone it reasonably believes has tampered with or attempted to interfere with the website, entry process or proper operation of the prize draw.
Can Ventus cancel, suspend or amend a prize draw?
Ventus may cancel, suspend or amend a prize draw where fraud, technical malfunction, system error, legal or regulatory change, or events beyond its reasonable control affect the integrity or administration of the draw.
What happens if an event outside Ventus’s control affects a prize?
If a significant element of a prize cannot be provided due to events outside Ventus’s reasonable control, Ventus will offer an alternative prize and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.

How do I make a complaint?

How quickly will Ventus respond to complaints?

Does the winner have to pay for carbon offsetting?
No. The winner and guests have no financial or other responsibility for calculating or offsetting the carbon footprint.

Travel

Do winners and guests need passports?
Yes. Winners and guests will require passports valid for at least six months on the date of travel.
Who is responsible for visas, travel documents and entry requirements?
The winner and guests are responsible for ensuring they can travel, including having the necessary documents, complying with immigration requirements and checking any relevant travel advisories.
Who checks health, vaccination or destination requirements?
The winner and guests are responsible for obtaining any information about recommended vaccinations, inoculations or health requirements for the destination.
Do winners and guests need to travel together?
Unless otherwise approved by Ventus, winners and guests must travel on the same schedule.
Can lost travel documents or vouchers be reissued?
Lost or stolen travel documents, tickets or vouchers will not be reissued.

What could cause a travel prize to be forfeited?
A travel prize may be forfeited if the winner or guests cannot travel due to passport, visa, immigration, medical, legal or personal circumstances, or if they decline or are unable to travel for any other reason.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. Travel insurance is required as a condition of participating in a travel prize.
Who arranges travel insurance?
The winner and guests are responsible for selecting and arranging suitable travel insurance.
Will Ventus pay for travel insurance?

A potential winner must respond within 10 working days from the date Ventus first sends or attempts to send notification, unless a longer period is stated in the notification.
Can Ventus notify a winner in person?
Ventus may arrange in-person notification or filmed presentation with the agreement of the potential winner, subject to availability and logistical considerations.
When does a potential winner become a confirmed winner?
A potential winner becomes a confirmed winner only after Ventus has completed the required eligibility and verification checks.
What verification checks may be required?
A potential winner may need to provide information or documents confirming identity, age, residence, eligibility and availability for the prize dates.
How long does winner verification take?
The potential winner must be willing and able to complete verification within 15 working days of notification, unless Ventus reasonably extends the period.

Yes. Failure to complete and return required documentation accurately and within the required period may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.
What happens if a potential winner is disqualified?
Ventus will select a reserve potential winner using the same random computerised process from the remaining eligible entries. This process may continue until the prize is validly awarded.

How is a potential winner selected?
A potential winner is electronically drawn at random using an independent third-party computer process and secure random number generator.
Is personal information used in the draw process?
No. Only unique entry numbers are shared with the third party for the draw process; personal information is not used in winner selection.
When does the prize draw take place?
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable Prize Draw Terms and Conditions, the draw takes place ten working days after the Entry Period closes.
What affects my chances of winning?
Your chance of winning depends on the total number of valid entries received during the Entry Period.
